Bahamas August 2008 : Spent a week with some friends aboard one of Blackbeard's Cruises boats in the Bahamas, the Pirate's Lady. Had some camera and strobe cord issues, so I didn't get to shoot about a third of the time, and when I did, it was with either one or no strobes :(

Bonaire April 2007 - underwater : My buddy and I went to Bonaire this year, instead of Roatan. We only did shore dives and managed to do 23 of them in our 5.25 days of diving. It was a fun and relaxing trip. Bonaire is a great place for diving and getting away from it all. I was still using my Olympus C-4000 in the PT-010 housing, without a strobe for this trip. Thanks for everyone's comments and support! Next trip I'll have my DSLR ready to go!

Roatan Shark Dive April 2006 : On Thursday we did the shark dive with Waihuka Adventure Diving. They take you way out off shore in a small boat, to a shelf just above the space where the drop off to very deep water begins, where sharks like to hang out. They do 3 dives a day, and we did the last one of the day. There were about 9 sharks in total, some of them reaching 8-9 feet long. These were Caribbean Gray Reef Sharks. Apparently it was mating season and the sharks were not too hungry, so the guide had to start hand-feeding them at one point. At first our group of 15 'tourists' was lined up in front of a low reef wall. Later, we actually swam amongst the sharks, although it was more like they were swimming around us! I was actually OK with this, although when a big shark swam toward me and passed very close beneath me, it was a bit unnerving. At the end of the dive the guide swam over to me and another woman, and gave us each a shark tooth that had lodged in his metal mesh gloves.

Roatan April 2006 : Went to Roatan, in the Bay Islands of Honduras for a dive trip with a buddy. Managed 20 dives and saw a bunch of new types of sea life. It was a good trip!
